Join a TUA Committee

TUA Committees are responsible for initiating, planning, and implementing projects and legislation. They spend time understanding important areas for action within their specific focus area and serve as the place to go for assistance on a specific issue.

All TUA Committees are open for all students to be a part of! If you are interested in joining a committee, please email tua@tulane.edu.

Sustainability and Divestment

The Sustainability and Divestment Committee’s (SDC) purpose is to prepare Tulane students to become environmental leaders and urge Tulane to become a more sustainable and environmentally conscious institution—namely by divesting its endowment from fossil fuels, reducing carbon emissions and general waste, etc. The committee will implement initiatives and events that educate students, faculty, and staff on the importance of sustainability and environmental justice. This committee will strive to make Tulane a global leader in sustainability and environmental organizing in collaboration with existing environmental organizations on campus and across the Gulf South.
